The Woman with the Vision

Delia Vandermere (née Chiaramonte) is the president of Vandermere Industries and the founder of the Fair.

She was born in the Papal States, the daughter of the ancient House of Chiaramonte. She studied neuroscience and computing at Oxford before marrying American industrialist Leland Vandermere, president of the Vandermere Corporation, where she led research into Artignosis, thinking technology.

Leland Vandermere’s involvement in the war effort led him to become the wealthiest man alive, before his sudden death toward the end of the war.

Delia assumed control of the company, gearing production from weapons of war to technology toward peace

After the conclusion of the Great War, Vandermere, in her position as Federated States of America ambassador to the Brotherhood of Nations, (and wealthiest person in the world) gathered the global political will to build The Fair, a vast permanent extra-national exposition to bring the world together in the shared vision of global peace through collaborative science, research and cultural exchange.
